Gone

 I just finished the first book in the Gone series and it is so good! It is thought provoking, dark, and action-packed. When I was reading it I couldn't put it down! Literally. My friends had to take it from me. It is about if all the adults disappeared. It takes place in Perdito Beach, nicknamed Fallout Alley because of the nuclear power plant accident a while back. It follows Sam, a 14 year old boy, Quinn, his best friend, Astrid, his crush, and Caine, a power hungry boy from the snotty school Coates Academy. First every one over the age of 14 disappears, leaving stoves on and babies in houses alone. Then the bullies take over. They kill people if they break the rules, they eat all the good food. And the biggest bully of them all is Caine. Then the teens start to develop powers. Teleporting, fire, super spped or strength, anything. And when they turn 15, they poof too. It is a new world in which you either fight, join the bullies, join Sam, or die. I would reccomend to people who like drama, action, and dark plots. I would rate it 9 out of 10 cucumbers.
